Manager 2.0 can be classified into 5 functional categories:

Manage Content
Web-based interfaces are provided for the uploading, categorizing, approval & publishing of content by the various users assuming the roles of content provider, content approval, content publisher and so on.

Discover & Deliver
Subscribers discover and select various content types through a multi-channel discovery portal rendered by the Presentation Engine. The Delivery Engine handles the various
push / pull content delivery mechanism e.g. SMS, MMS, wap push etc.

Track & Bill
The Purchase Flow Engine monitors the process flow of subscriber content purchases for all current delivery channels such as WAP, Web, SMS, and MMS, including video streaming.  Usage information collected by the Purchase Flow Engine serves as input to the Billing & Rating Engine which generates billing records to bill based on access, duration, or download data volume.

Reports
Reporting and Logging Engine generates online reports of subscriber content purchase activities. These reports are typically used for the purpose of marketing and customer care.

Application and system-level logs capture system health statistics and application processes for monitoring and audit purposes.

Personalize
The User Profile Engine interfaces with the operator’s user profile database to obtain a useful profile of the subscriber which may be used to personalize the presentation and rendering of the content pages shown to the subscriber.
